AC റോഡിൽ സ്ഥിരമായി വെള്ളകെട്ട് ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന ഭാഗത്ത് തടയണകളും, പാലങ്ങളും നിർമിക്കുന്ന ജോലികൾ ഒന്നംകര പാലം മുതൽ പള്ളുരുത്തി വരെ നടന്നുകൊണ്ട് ഇരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നിരുന്നാലും വെള്ളകെട്ട് മൂലമുണ്ടാകുന്ന ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുകൾ ഇപ്പൊൾ AC റോഡിൽ ഒരു ഭാഗത്തും ഇല്ല.
The government has announced steps for deepening and extending the canal in two phases — from Onnamkara to Nedumudi and from Nedumudi to Pallathuruthy. It will be the solution for AC Canal Flood. Now there is no block regarding Flood In AC Canal.
Five flyovers will be constructed at places prone to severe flooding. Besides, three existing bridges at Kidangara, Nedumudi, and Pallathuruthy will be widened. The Muttar bridge across the AC canal will be reconstructed. Apart from these, construction of nine causeways, 13 minor bridges, drains, ducts, retaining walls, culverts, bus shelters, and road safety features are also planned.

As part of reconstructing the Alappuzha-Changanassery (AC) road as a semi-elevated highway, demolition of the Pallathuruthy West bridge, near Kaithavana, began on Monday. Construction of nine causeways, 13 minor bridges, drains, ducts, retaining walls, culverts, bus shelters, and road safety features are also planned. It brings AC road to the best Standard. AC Road is Open For Some vehicles.
A total ban on the movement of goods and heavy vehicles has been imposed on the 24.16-km road connecting Alappuzha and Kottayam districts.

Vehicles can use the Ambalapuzha- Thiruvalla State highway as an alternative route. Or use Mancompu – Champakulam Route to Alleppy. Not Possible For the Long Feet High Container Trailers.
The Light Goods And Passenger Vehicles up to Pickup can Go through AC Road.
